About Us

Waterwynch House is privately owned and owner-run by two families with a genuine commitment to the house and its guests. Since acquiring the property, we have invested continuously in the house, grounds and guest experience, with one clear aim: to create an exceptional place for groups to gather, celebrate and reconnect.

What sets Waterwynch apart is a rare combination: exclusive occupancy, flexibility around catering and suppliers, an exceptional coastal setting, and a house equipped without compromise. From the Sonos system throughout the house to the music room, bar, kitchens, arts and crafts room, games room, cinema room and treatment room, every space is properly equipped and genuinely thought through.

That investment shows in the detail, and in how guests describe their stays. Every booking is exclusive use. Every guest matters to us personally.

Each of the twelve bedrooms at Waterwynch House is individually designed, with a consistent sense of calm and understated comfort throughout.

Six rooms look out towards the sea, while the remaining six overlook the formal garden, offering a choice between coastal views and a more tranquil setting.

Thoughtfully arranged for group stays, the rooms provide a balance of privacy and ease, ensuring every guest has their own space to unwind.

Each bedroom at Waterwynch is named after a beach or bay on the Pembrokeshire coast, arranged geographically through the house from east to west, gently mirroring the coastline beyond. Read the story behind the bedroom names.

Few properties in Wales offer this combination: a beach, woodland, open lawns, sea view sun terraces, all within the same grounds. Set within expansive private grounds, Waterwynch House is as much about its setting as the house itself.

With a formal garden and direct access to the beach, the grounds offer a rare sense of space and seclusion. There is room to play and unwind, from informal games on the lawn to football and table tennis, as well as space to dine outdoors and enjoy long, relaxed meals together taking in the sea view.

A walk along the cliff path reveals magnificent views across Tenby and out towards the Gower Peninsula, connecting the house to the wider coastline.

It’s a setting designed to be enjoyed throughout the day, in every season.

Waterwynch sits between Tenby and Saundersfoot, two of the most characterful coastal towns in Wales, both close enough to reach on foot via the coast path.

Tenby is a town that reveals more the longer you spend there. Its walled medieval centre, harbour, North and South beaches and independent restaurants make it somewhere guests return to again and again. From Tenby, boat trips run to Caldey Island, one of the most peaceful places on the Pembrokeshire coast. Coasteering, paddleboarding and kayaking are all available nearby.

Saundersfoot has a more relaxed, village character, with a working harbour, sandy beaches and the kind of unhurried atmosphere that suits a morning walk, coffee by the sea and a slow return along the coast.

For those who want to venture further, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park extends in both directions, with some of the finest coastal scenery in the UK within an easy drive.
